Once you’ve decided to commit to adding CBD as part of your regular physical and mental health regimen, you will be faced with a popular question.
How much do I take?
Consulting with those in the CBD field, and plenty of knowledge are always your safest options. However, there are a few things that you should know about yourself before you begin.
- What’s my tolerance to prescribed or over-the-counter medications?
- What’s my tolerance to alcohol or other mood altering substances?
- How much do I weigh?
- What is my body type?
- Will I be taking CBD on a regular basis or just when I need it?
- How will I be taking my CBD? Vape? Tincture? Bud? Edible? Other?
When it comes to finding the right dosage of CBD for you it will take some trial and error. Remember, everyone’s answer to the above questions will be different. An individual’s tolerance level is unique, and at this time there are no regulated dosage recommendations. Never be afraid to ask the associates at your CBD shop for advice or help when it comes to recommended dosage, they may not get it absolutely right but you will get a good starting point for self-treatment. The staff at Deep Six CBD have been invaluable in helping me to find my correct dosage.
To begin, make sure to set aside some time when you are not working or need to drive anywhere. My recommendation is a few hours before bed time. This will allow you the time to feel the product working and establish the dosage necessary for your needs.
Certain methods of CBD delivery will work more quickly than others. The fastest acting are vaping and bud, followed by tincture. Edibles are slower but will last longer and be dispersed in your system as the food digests. The great thing about CBD is that there is no danger of overdose. Too much CBD leads to sedation (sleepiness) which is why I recommend beginning your dosage experiment a few hours from bed time. Once you find the dosage that provides you with relief with out sedation you will be on your way to living your best CBD life. Until next time.
